CBN denies alleged plot against Tinubu

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has dismissed allegations that he had launched a fresh plot against the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

A media platform  had earlier reported that N500 million windfall was mobilised through high-level CBN agents in Lagos State.

Meanwhile, in a statement today signed by the bank’s Acting Director, Corporate Communications, Isa Abdulmumin, titled, “Re- Emefiele launches fresh plot against President-elect Tinubu,” the CBN also denied the allegation in the report that he made a certain amount of money available to the gubernatorial candidate of Labour Party in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

Describing the report as fake, the statement added, that they wish to reiterate that the CBN Governor does not take part in Politics and therefore urge anyone with contrary information to prove the Governor wrong should provide such facts.
