The Confederation of African Football (CAF) are planning to increase the number of participating teams at the Africa Cup of Nations from 16 to 24. This was revealed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on their official website today.
According to the NFF, CAF will decide on the plan at a two-day African Football Symposium in Rabat, Morocco today. Also, one of the proposals to be discussed at the symposium which will have NFF President, Amaju Pinnick and other top Nigerian delegates in attendance, is the shifting of the AFCON from January to summer.
The President Federation of International Football Federation, Gianni Infantino, will also be at the event.
