Boko Haram insurgents launched an attack on the 121 Task Force Battalion of the Nigerian Army at Pulka, Borno state, in the wee hours of Friday, but they were repelled by the Nigerian troops.
According to Colonel Sani Usman, Acting Director Army Public Relations, the insurgents carried out the charge at the Army with 5 gun trucks, motorcycles and 2 Golf cars.
The troops were reported to have killed 7 terrorists and wounded several others while recovering ammunition from their attackers.
