The late Ronke Shonde, who was allegedly killed by her husband, Lekan, died from respiratory seizure.
The final autopsy report, which just got to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, revealed that the victim did not die from domestic violence.
The autopsy report on late Ronke Shonde, the mother of two who was allegedly killed by her husband, Lekan, at their home in Egbeda area of Lagos, was released yesterday.
According to Vanguard, the autopsy report which was signed by Dr. Shoyemi, a pathologist at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital LASUTH, attributed Ronke’s death to head injuries and she also had water clustered in her head.
The report stated that late Ronke died from respiratory seizure and ruled out the possibility of her death due to violent marks on her face.
Ronke Shonde was found dead in her home on May 6th after she and her husband had a quarrel the previous night. Her husband, Lekan, went into hiding after the incident but turned himself in on May 9th.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command, Dolapo Badmos, confirmed that the police had got the report, adding that the details would be released on Thursday.
