Ashiru, Olawuyi absent as Igbomina Youth Assembly concludes Political dialogue

The duo of  Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru who currently  represents Kwara South Senatorial District in the 9th Senate and Raheem Tunji Olawuyi commonly called Ajuloopin , member of the Federal House of Representatives of Nigeria representing Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/and Oke-Ero federal constituency of Kwara State , both seeking re-election in the 2023 general elections under the All Progressive Congress (APC) were visibly absent at the weekend as the Igbomina Youth Assembly concluded its political dialogue organized for  flag bearers of all political parties of Igbomina coverage .

Although, no notification of absence were sent in by the incumbent representatives, other aspirants including Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) and Prof. Wale Sulaiman of the Social democratic Party(SDP) both seeking  Kwara South Senatorial seat at the general  election including  Hon. Saheed Popoola of the Social democratic Party(SDP) vying to represent Oyun/Ifelodun /offa federal constituency were present .

Speaking at the event, President, Igbomina Youth Assembly, Engr. Jimoh Abdulrasheed Temitope in his remarks said “the political dialogue organized for flag bearers of all political parties of Igbomina coverage was borne out of the need to avail political aspirants of Igbomina /Ekiti/Offa extraction the platform to intimate residents and eligible voters of these area on details  their manifesto with a view that in-turn ,they (Aspirants)can be asked questions based on their manifesto”.

While clarifying that the Igbomina Youth Assembly is non political with no religious bindings, Jimoh Abdulrasheed said the concluded political dialogue will go a long way to strengthen Democracy at the grass roots.

Aspirants seeking elections into the Kwara state House of Assembly and National Assembly from other political parties including Accord Party(AP) ,Labour party (LP),Action Alliance (AC) , Young Progressive Party  (YPP) among others at the event took turns to expatiate their Manifesto.
