Arik Airline on Wednesday resumed flights after workers had shut down operations over non-payment of salaries, non-remittance of taxes, sacking of five union leaders and anti-labour activities on Tuesday.
Arik in a statement said the issue has been resolved following the meeting called by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to address the airline and the aviation unions.
Union leader, Tokunbo Korodo confirming the suspension of the strike said; We met the management of Arik last night and they agreed to pay the arrears of salaries by December 31,”.
”Those sacked should also be recalled by the airline”.
“If Arik refuses to honour the deal by December 31, we will resume the strike,”.
