The Agbaji Development Association has dissociated itself from a claim that the people of Ajikobi and Agbaji have withdrawn support from Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and pleged allegiance to President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement issued by the association and signed by its National President, Alhaji Abdulmumeen Tayo Moyosore, the body said the statement credited to Alhaji Omar Ayelabegan also from Ajikobi ward was his personal opinion and does not represent the stand of the people of the community.
The statement identified Alhaji Ayelabegan as one of the sons of Agbaji, but added that he is neither the community leader nor spokesperson of the Agbaji community.
While identifying Senate President Saraki as a bonafide son of Agoro compound in Agbaji, the Association said the community has benefited immensely from the former Kwara State Governor. Agbaji Development Association therefore pledged its unalloyed allegiance to Senate President Saraki and called for people to avoid cheap blackmail in the interest of all.
