The campaign train of the Alliance Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN, today landed in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, with the party’s presidential candidate, Dr Oby Ezekwesili, promising to lead eighty million Nigerians out of poverty.
Speaking at the launching of manifesto and unveiling of the party’s vice-presidential candidate, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Galadima, the presidential candidate also celebrated the virtues of Alhaji Galadima, a Kwara state indigene, noting that he was chosen as a result of his integrity, competence and experience.
Ezekwesili who decried the state of the nation, faulted the policies of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, but noted that the ACPN’s manifesto spells out the best way to govern the nation and address the various challenges confronting the nation.
The former minister said if given the chance, the party will ensure adequate security, standard education, private sector development, sound health system and infrastructural development.
Speaking on youths and women engagement, Ezekwesili promised to create jobs for youths, invest in women and ensure their adequate involvement in governance across the nation.
