The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has rejected the proposal by the National Parent-Teacher Association of Nigeria to pay the union a minimum of ten thousand naira per parent in every academic section in an effort to end the lingering industrial action.
It is recalled that the Public Relations Officer of the National Parent-Teacher Association of Nigeria, Dr. Ademola Ekundayo said the move was to aid the Federal Government to meet ASUU’s demands.
Speaking on Arise Television and monitored by RoyalFM News, the National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke urged the association to rather mount more pressure on the Federal Government.
