The Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for all, CSACEFA, has admonished parents and guardians to take as priority the feeding of their wards. The organization said ensuring the children enjoy balanced diet will not only make the children look healthy physically and mentally, but also enhance their academic performance.

Speaking at an enlightenment event on Monday to mark the 2019 children’s day celebration, Kwara State and North Central region Coordinator of CSACEFA, Hajia Nimat Labaika, noted that the civil society picked students across schools as purveyors of the enlightenment on the ills of malnutrition, adding that kids should not just be fed but should take necessary nutrients for their healthy living.

Also speaking, the Public Relations Officer of CSACEFA, Dr Mrs Zainab Balogun, who drew attention to this year’s theme, “End malnutrition and protect the future of the Nigerian child”, stressed the need for the Kwara State Government to tap into the homegrown feeding initiative of the federal government by so that the Kwara child can benefit.

Some of the students who also spoke with RoyalFM News emphasized the importance of prompt payment of salary so that parents and guardians can feed their wards nutritiously.
