2023: Votes, not social media, determine winners — INEC cautions youths

As Nigerians prepare for the upcoming 2023 elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has expressed worry over the 20 million permanent voters’ cards still lying unclaimed in its vault. It also decried the poor participation of citizens in the ongoing continuous voters’ registration exercise.

INEC’s Deputy Director, Voter Education, Mrs Mary Nkem, stated this at the launch of the PVC Bus Drive project, organised by a non-governmental organisation, the Advocacy for Civic Engagement, in Abuja on Wednesday. She, therefore, urged Nigerians, especially the youth demography to be actively involved in the process of electing new leaders that will effect true change and move the country forward.

According to INEC, votes not social media will determine the winners of the 2023 general elections.

We’ll rescue Nigeria from dangerous APC misrule, says Atiku as he receives PDP certificate of return

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the 2023 elections ,Atiku Abubakar, has appealed to party members to support him and the party to win the 2023 elections. Atiku made the appeal while receiving his certificate of return from the PDP National Chairman, Sen. Iyiochia Ayu, at a ceremony held at the party’s National Secretariat, Abuja, on Wednesday.

He enjoined members of the party irrespective of aspirants they supported during the primary to close ranks and work towards the success of the party during the 2023 general elections.Atiku explained that the presidential primary was a contest among members of one family but the 2023 elections was different.
