2023 election: Buhari meets INEC Boss, assures credible Poll

President Muhammadu Buhari says he takes instructions from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of Saturday’s general election.

Buhari made this known today as he met with the chairman of INEC, Professor Mahmoud Yakbub, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, over the forthcoming elections.

The unscheduled meeting, according to Buhari, was at the instance of Yakubu, insisting that it was all part of the efforts for the elections to hold successfully.

Buhari also hinted about the meeting while explaining his few minutes of lateness to the commissioning and handover of security equipment valued at over twelve billion naira to the military and Nigeria Police Force.

It could be recalled that president buhari had insisted that 2023 Election will be credible.

The meeting, which began around eleven O’clock in the morning, had the likes of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor, Chief Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao, Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya, Chief of Naval Staff, and Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo among others
