The Nigerian Police Force has recovered 19 vehicles from the immediate past Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, Punch reports.
A senior police officer privy to the information told the paper that the discovery of 24 vehicles with Arase were made when the incumbent IG of Police, Ibrahim Idris ordered an investigation into the purchase and distribution of vehicles by his predecessors.
It was learnt that the Special Investigation Panel (SIP) in charge of the investigation have identified and recovered 19 vehicles, including assorted sedans, Sports Utility Vehicles and pick-up vans from Arase.
It could be recalled that Arase had denied leaving with any cars when the current Inspector Geberal accused him.
