A senior member of the Boko Haram sect, on the wanted list of the military has been arrested in a Lagos church by a local vigilante group (civilian JTF).
Also picked up at different spots in the state were five other suspects, whose identities match those on the list of one hundred most wanted terrorists released by the military recently.
Head of the vigilante group and the Seriki Hausawa of Ijora Kingdom, Alhaji Mustapha Mohammed at a press conference in Ijora said the five were arrested on Friday while the sixth suspect, was arrested in a church where he was hiding inside an abandoned forty-feet container.
According to him, the suspected have been transported to Bornu State where they are wanted by the military.
The report of the arrest comes as troops of the Nigerian Army killed sixteen Boko Haram terrorists and arrested two others at the weekend in an ambush in Borno State.
