It was excitement galore yesterday in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital as the Vicfold recycling team received the winner’s certificate for participating in the worldwide #you for G20: your project for an interconnected world, organized by Deutschland.de to commemorate the Hamburg G-20 summit 2017.
Of the 220 applicants, Vicfold Recylers emerged winners after their entry unanimously convinced the organizers because it fulfilled three major requirements which include tackling a social and environmental issue, promoting sustainable living, and helping to empower women in Nigeria.
The First secretary and Head of Press and Public diplomacy at the German foreign mission to Nigeria, Mr Ludwig Jung presented the winner’s certificate to the founder of Vicfold Recylers, Mr Victor Amusa and his wife and co- founder, Mrs Shade Amusa at the at the Material Sorting Hub Ilorin.
In his appreciation, Mr Victor Amusa thanked all who have supported the dream and promised to make the German foreign mission and Nigeria proud. He enjoined everyone to live responsibly and play their role in caring for the planet
