Following the recent shooting in a Texas school and a Supermarket in Buffalo, the United State Senate has passed a gun control bill – the most significant firearms legislation in nearly 30 years.
In order to approve the legislation, fifteen Republicans joined Democrats in the upper chamber of Congress to approve the measure by 65 votes to 33.
However, before United States President Joe Biden can sign it into law the bill will have to pass in the House of Representatives.Reacting to the vote, President Biden has called on members of the House to “promptly vote on this bipartisan bill and send it to his desk.
