UBEC fund, reasons Kwarans should all follow AbdulRazaq’s lead – says KMC

– Urges Opposition party to join the train of education Reforms_

A leading Pro Democracy group in Kwara State, Kwara Must Change, KMC, has described Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as a visionary leader who had seen the end before the beginning.

Kwara Must Change also observed that, if anyone is still in doubt about the vision and determination of the governor to achieve excellence for the state, this is the time to end such skepticism.

In a statement by the Convener of Kwara Must Change, Abdulrazaq Hamzat, the group stated that, to change Kwara for better, we must jointly support visionary leadership that is devoid of propaganda and undue noise making.

According to Hamzat, KMC had severally engaged the Government of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on the issue of Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), sharing ideas and understanding Government efforts in that direction; and having been properly informed about the multi layer approach of Government to access the unaccessed funds due to the blacklist of Kwara State during the previous administration, we are convinced that sooner or later, positive outcome will be recorded.

“The positive outcome has now been achieved with the release of over N7billion to the state for educational development and this shows that we all need to follow Governor Abdulrahman’s lead in our quest for a better Kwara”, adding that just like the success recorded with UBEC funding, the governor has demonstrated sufficient will to achieve success in other sectors”

Hamzat therefore urged all Kwarans, including members of the opposition party to join hands with Government in the execution of lasting reforms in the education sector, noting that opposition should be about pushing Government to achieve more for general interest, not the opposite.
