Support Buhari to succeed, IWCC Director begs Nigerians

Support Buhari to succeed, IWCC Director begs Nigerians

The Executive Director, International Women Communication Centre (IWCC) Nigeria, Dr Limota Goroso Giwa, has admonished Nigerians to rally round the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to enable it succeed.

She cautioned that Nigerians would be responsible for success or failure of the government, hence the need for collective support.

Dr Goroso Giwa said this at the official commissioning of Kwara South IWCC Women Training Centre in Ajase-Ipo, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State on Wednesday.

At the commissioning of the facility, which the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Sikiru Atanda Sanni Woleola, performed, no fewer than 20 female trainees were admitted as the first set of students to undergo free vocational courses training for the next four months.

The IWCC executive director, who decried the level of poverty and insecurity in the country, pleaded with the citizenry to subsume their grievances for the safety of all.

“Our President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Force, President Muhammadu Buhari is a patriotic, purposeful, responsible, conscientious and trustful Nigerian and his main aim in life is about how to make Nigeria great.

“As we all know, he is a very thoughtful, honest and conscience pricking human being, whose love for Nigeria since 1985 that he took over as Head of State, is unquantifiable. He constantly had a dream to transform Nigeria to a great Nation and that was the reason most Nigerians gave him the chance to rule us again this time.

‘I, therefore, want to urge all Nigerians to support him to succeed. If he succeeds, Nigeria will succeed. If he fails, all of us in Nigeria will be blamed and called a failed country or a failed nation.

“Obviously, we cannot afford to fail our country and the Africa continent. All African countries look up to a Nigerian and Nigeria as a big brother and country. There is too much poverty and insecurity in the land.

“I want to appeal to all Nigerians to bury our grievances and join to make our country a safe and better place for all of us. The present situation is not about President Muhammadu Buhari, but about us as Nigerians, whose destinies are in their hands. The destiny of our youth and incoming generation cannot be jeopardized”, Dr Goroso Giwa said.

She enjoined the political class to embrace peace and work together on things that unite Nigerians and make the country a better place for all and sundry.

The IWCC director called on the citizens to shun religious and ethnic sentiment in order to find common ground to curb poverty and insecurity ravaging the country.

She also canvassed support for the  government of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in Kwara State so as to take the state to a greater high.
