The Presidency has said an updated list of non-career ambassadorial nominees from President Muhammadu Buhari will soon be submitted to the Senate, Punch reports.
This development is coming after the Senate rejected the list stating that there were over 250 petitions against the nominees.
Punch reports that the new list will have inputs from state governors under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress who had earlier complained of neglect.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina confirmed that the list will be reworked and submitted to the Senate soon.
He said; “The (non-career ambassadorial nominees) list will be worked on, and communicated to the Senate as soon as possible,”.
