Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, with five goals in four matches, won the Golden Boot in the Euro 2020 despite crashing out of the championship in the Round of 16.
Ronaldo’s Portugal crashed out after losing 1-0 to Belgium.
The Juventus attacker equalled Iranian forward Ali Daei’s record of 109 international goals after scoring twice against France in Portugal’s final group stage match on June 24.
Ronaldo scored in every single group stage game for Portugal, bagging a brace against both Hungary and France.
However, he failed to find the back of the net during the 0-1 loss to Belgium in the round of 16.
Ronaldo is followed by Czech Republic forward Patrik Schick who scored his fifth goal in the competition against Denmark in the quarter-finals.
England captain Harry Kane, with four goals, had a chance to overtake Ronaldo ahead of the final against Italy.
