Veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo popularly known as RMD has advised his followers to desist from living ‘fake lives’ for online buzz. In his New Year message shared on his Instagram page, he charged young people to do better in 2019.
In the last weeks leading to the end of 2018, social media buzzed with pictures of new cars and houses displayed by users from all walks of life. Reacting to the display, RMD said that there is no need to fake success in the bid to attract real success as it mounts unnecessary pressure on people.
He said rather than “fake it till one makes it”, one should faith it till one makes it. RMD came into limelight in the 1980’s with the hit show ‘Ripples’ and has since won several awards including the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) in 2005.
