Rivers Angels have won the 2018 Aiteo Women’s Cup following a one-nil win against Ibom Angels in the final match at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Bayelsa on Tuesday. Juliet Sunday scored the decisive goal in the forty-seventh minute of the tightly contested encounter.
It was Rivers Angels’ third consecutive Aiteo Cup title and their eighth in nine years.
Meanwhile, the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba will be the centre of attraction today when Enugu Rangers and Kano Pillars clash in the final of the 2018 Aiteo Men’s Federation Cup,.
Rangers will be gunning for their sixth title, while Kano Pillars will be targeting a second title.
It’s the thirteenth time Rangers are appearing in the final of the competition. The Flying Antelopes last won the title in 1983.
