Following the menace of miscreants who have developed another means of robbing innocent Kwara residents with the use of motorcycle in broad day light, residents have cried out to the Kwara State Police Command to take note of the new strategy.
Some residents who expressed fear over the development, narrated their ordeals with the bad boys.
They asked the security operatives to raise the bar as “these boys threaten people with gun and collect their monies, phones among other valuables.
According to residents, Ilorin city which used to be peaceful and low in criminal activities, is already having high number of criminal-minded people.
Mr Bolakale Saka, a resident of Oju-ekun area, called on the Kwara state police command and the state government to rise to the challenge.
Royal Times reports that broad daylight robbery was rampant during the “End SARS” crisis as some criminal-minded people used the opportunity to carry out their evil act. The robbery act continued till date.
Speaking on the development, the State Police Public Relation Officer, SP Ajayi Okasanmi said the command is working out modalities to combat the criminal act.
