President Muhammadu Buhari will dissolve the current federal cabinet on May 22 after presiding over a valedictory Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on the day. Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, revealed this in Abuja today while speaking with journalists at the end a FEC meeting.
The valedictory Federal Executive Council will hold a week before President Muhammadu Buhari will be sworn in for his second term. Lai said the cabinet is still intact until May 22nd.
Meanwhile, the FEC has approved fifty-two billion naira for e-border solution to monitor the country’s porous borders. Interior minister, Abdulrahman Dambazau while briefing the State House reporters, said the approval was granted following a memo by his ministry.
He said the contract will cover 86 border posts and all the over 1000 illegal routes being used for smuggling and other crimes.
