President Mohammadu Buhari has again, appealed to Nigerians to be patient with his government in the face of the harsh economic realities of the present time, assuring that there were better days ahead.According to the president, he is not oblivious of the hardship and hunger in the land and that Nigerians are having a tough period. Making the observations in a congratulatory message to all Muslims faithful in Nigeria on the celebration of Eid El Fitr to mark the end of Ramadam fast, president Buhari however appealed to the rich to show some kind and philanthropic gestures to the poor especially to the victims of terrorism in the society.
Meanwhile, several Nigerian elders has commemorate with Nigerians as they celebrate in this festive season. Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State in his congratulatory message urged Nigerian Muslims to be guided by the invaluable lessons learnt during Ramadan as this will greatly mold their lives in the right path prescribed by Almighty Allah.
according to his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Peter Okhiria, Governor Oshiomhole said that the messages of love, perseverance, self-denial, almsgiving and others learnt during the holy month of Ramadan should not be discarded but should be applied daily by the Muslim in total obedience.
The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Right Honorable. Dr. Ali Ahmad also congratulated Muslims for the successful completion of Ramadan, urging them to celebrate modestly. the Speaker therefore advised them to always reflect on the lessons learnt in the holy month for the betterment of the society.
