Police Arrest Suspected Cultists, Others In Rivers

Police have arrested suspected cultists who were part of a gang that allegedly killed four persons in Rivers State.

The suspects were said to have buried the severed heads of their victims in a forest in Ikwere and Emohua local government areas of the state.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Zaki Ahmed, disclosed this on Monday at the Police Headquarters in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

Mr Ahmed was speaking while parading over 60 suspected cultists, robbers and kidnappers with a large cache of arms and bags of hard drugs.

He also revealed that the Police arrested a suspected notorious kidnapper who allegedly abducted and killed a traditional ruler in the state.

The Police Commissioner added that the Command busted some criminal hide outs and routed hoodlums suspected to be responsible for various criminal acts along Owerri- Port Harcourt Road and Elele axis among other parts of the state.
