Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has solicited  the royal blessings of the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare  as he faces the September 2018 presidential primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Atiku who made the plea at the palace of the Benin monarch on a courtesy call during his visit to PDP faithful in the state also used the momemnt to calrify that if he was desperate to be the nation’s president, he would have long achieved it and will not have stepped down for Chief MKO Abiola.

Atiku, a PDP presidential aspirant for the 2019 election however, assured the Benin monarch that he will pursue his ambition with the fear of God,  saying that he is not desperate to be the nation’s president.
