Oparanozie named Super Falcons captain

Super Falcons head coach, Thomas Dennerby has named Desire Oparanozie as the captain of the women national team, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Oparanozie took over from midfielder Rita Chikwelu who has been piloting the team for quite sometime now before the team official announcement on Thursday.

Oparanozie made her debut for Super Falcons in 2010 and she has ranked up over 30 caps for the country with 22 goals.

The Coca-Cola ambassador will put on the armband when the team begins its campaign in the summer world cup competition slated for France.
