Okocha, Kanu, Yakubu, Shittu to face EPL legends in Kanu Heart Foundation charity game

Former Super Eagles captain, Austine Okocha, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Kanu Nwankwo and Danny Shittu are part of the African legends team that will face Premier League legends in a charity match on September 30th at the Hive Stadium, London. The game is to raise money and awareness for the Kanu Heart Foundation.

The likes of Sol Campbell, William Gallas, Teddy Sheringham, Steve McManaman, and Jens Lehmann are among the former legends that will feature for the Premier League Stars.

Having suffered from heart problem during his career as a professional footballer, Kanu has first-hand experience of the devastating impact heart disease can have on lives.

The foundation seeks to raise the profile of heart diseases in Africa and increase awareness through education, improving the quality of physical and psychological care for patients and their families and undertaking vital research.
