NLC frowns at delay in review of proposed minimum wage

written by Taiwo Adediran May 28, 2017

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has stressed that the patience of workers is running out and therefore called on the Federal Government to fast-track processes to implement the newly proposed National Minimum Wage.

NLC’s President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, in a statement to mark the 2017 Democracy Day, lamented that workers have waited long enough for the review of the minimum wage act with no tangible result.

The labour union therefore demanded for announcement of membership of the Minimum wage negotiating committee.

The NLC also warned against military incursion, vowing that Nigerians will resist military adventurers with everything in their control.
