The National Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Kwara State Chapter on Monday lauded the Ministry of Information in its handling of information and ensuring a two way communication between the government and the governed
The institute also commended the Commissioner for Communication, Muritala Olanrewaju, for his role as Chairman, Grassroots Mobilization Sub-Committee of the Kwara State Technical Committee on Covid-19 on how he and his team deployed Public Relations strategy to ensure citizens comply with the safety guidelines in combating the deadly pandemic virus.
The NIPR made the commendation when members went on familiarization tour and paid a courtesy visit to the commissioner.
Speaking on behalf of the institute, the state coordinator, Dr. Saudat Abdulbaqi pledged the readiness of the institution to support the kwara state government in planning, executing monitoring and evaluating the implementation of its numerous policies and campaign for the good of the state and that of humanity.
The state NIPR delegation also visited the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Rafiu Ajakaye who commended the institute for the visit and promised to ensure the Kwara State government partner with it in organizing training for public relation officers and press secretaries across the ministries.
