As the out gone kwara state commissioner of police Sam Okaula today handed over to the new commissioner of police of the state, Olusola Amore, the new commissioner of police said the focus of his administration will be a community oriented base policing.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony held at police officers mess in Ilorin, the new commissioner of police noted that effective security cannot be achieved without synergizing with all stakeholders, noting that there is no police without community.
The new commissioner of police however directed all divisional of Police Officer DPO across to display their phone numbers on the notice board of their stations as well as placing of suggestion boxes at the front of their offices in a bid to give room for fairness.
While warning officers to shun any misconduct act, the police commissioner directed the DPO to place suggestion boxes at their offices for kwara residents, nothing that the era of “kill and go is gone”,.
The state Governor, Doctor Abdulfatah Ahmed has earlier commended the out gone commissioner of police Sam Okaula for his achievement within seven month, while urging the new commissioner to keep the tempo.
