Minimum Wage: FG to meet organised labour on Monday

The Technical Committee on Minimum Wage, comprising the representative of Federal Government led by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), and the organised labour will meet Monday.

According to the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Senator Chris Ngige, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have jointly demanded N56, 000 national minimum wage.

The meeting, is scheduled to commence at 2.00pm, and will be held at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Abuja.

The Minister said the date of the meeting had been communicated to both the government; and the NLC and the TUC.
