May Day: Gbenga Adebayo charges workers, employers, government

written by Taiwo Adediran May 1, 2017

The Chairman and founder, African Broadband Limited, owners of RoyalFM radio, RoyalTimes News online and RoyalTV online has congratulated Nigerian workers on the occasion of this year’s Workers’ Day and urged them to continue to give their best.

Engineer Gbenga Adebayo also urged union bodies to desist from incessant industrial actions which always result in huge loss and devise other innovative means of resolving labour disputes.

In a statement issued today, Adebayo stated that the survival and growth of every establishment must remain paramount in the mind of workers. According to him, only a resultant growth can lead to an improvement in their welfare from management.

The entrepreneur also urged employers of labour not to ostracize workers but make them see themselves as part of the establishment. He noted that an improvement in their welfare will also ensure that they give the best in their duty.

In his message to the government, the businessman who has his hands in various business sectors called on government to create an enabling environment for business to thrive. He highlighted multiple taxation, insecurity, forex and non-consultation with investors in decision making as some of the factors inhibiting the economy in Nigeria.
