Lagos PDP: Salvador, good riddance to bad rubbish

Lagos PDP: Salvador, good riddance to bad rubbish

LAGOS State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday sharply reacted to the declaration made by its chairman, Hon. Moshood Salvador that he had dumped the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and would be welcomed into his new party next Monday at Agege Stadium, describing his move as good riddance to bad rubbish.

The party’s spokesperson, Mr Taofik Gani, gave this reaction in a statement and further describing Salvador as an unstable and a “loudspeaker politician” whose inordinate ambition and penchant for falsehood would soon be discovered by the APC.

“The move is good riddance to bad rubbish. Salvador is an unstable politician whose inordinate ambition and penchant for falsehood will soon be discovered by the APC.

Gani, who said the party played down the claim by Salvador that he left because of Chief George, further said, “Salvador is economical with the truth as Chief Bode George is rather his benefactor who once ‘made’ him a senatorial candidate and now state chairman.”

According to the PDP spokesman, “The problem with Salvador is that he is not a team player and too ambitious, and interested in all opportunities,” adding that, “He will very soon show the APC he belongs to.”

“We will not be demoralised by his defection. He has never been a winner for the party. We are likely to feel concerned if some names touted go with him but for Salvador, he is just a loudspeaker politician,” he said.
