KwaraSouth: Sen. Rafiu commissions Secretariat for Baales, Magajis in Oyun LGAs

SENATOR representing Kwara South senatorial district of Kwara state, Senator Ibrahim Rafiu, has commissioned an ultra modern secretariat he recently built for Baales and Magajis in the Oyun local government area of the state.

The lawmaker,  who was received by a crowd of his supporters at Ilemona, the headquarters of the local government during the commissioning, also commissioned a motorized borehole with a generating set in the town.

Rafiu, who dedicated the projects to his political leader, Dr Bukola Saraki, said that the projects were implemented based on the request of the local traditional chiefs and his people.

While appreciating the Senator, the traditional chiefs prayed for the success of his re-election bid, saying that the gesture was first of its kind in the area.

Rafiu in continuation of his consultative tour visited the palaces of the traditional rulers to solicit their support and royal blessings for his bid to return to the Senate in 2019 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).

At the Alofa’s palace, Oba Samuel described the lawmaker as a politician who is passionate about his people and the development of his constituency.
“We have benefited immensely from you and our support for you is assured,” the monarch added.

Similarly, the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Adeoti endorsed the re-election bid of Senator Rafiu, saying his support is guaranteed. He also prayed for the realisation of Senate President Bukola Saraki’s presidential ambition.

The Elerin of Erin-Ile, Oba Abdulganiyy also backed the re-election bid of the Ojoku-born lawmaker, describing his tenure as the best in the history of Kwara South.
