As part of efforts to expose Kwara state students to various technologies in the Asian country, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Ali Ahmad has disclosed that efforts are in top gear to facilitate Students Exchange Programme between the state and Japan.
Speaking while hosting the Japanesse Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Nigeria, Yutaka Kikuta, the speaker o assured the commitment of the 8th Assembly to do whatever it would be required legislatively to ensure the realization of the program.
He stressed that Japan is adjudged as one of the best countries in technology, adding that such program will ultimately improve Kwara state technologically and strengthen the ties between Nigerian and Japanesse Governments.
Responding, the Japanesse Ambassador, Kikuta said he found Nigeria very fascinating despite the challenges being encountered by the country and assured that Japan is willing to collaborate with the state.
