The Kwara State chapter of Labour Party has commiserated with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, over the demise of his mother, Hajia Ayisat Zulkarinani Gambari. The state Chairman of the Labour Party, Comrade Mumini Onagun, stated this in an interview with Journalists in Ilorin yesterday.
Onagun said the labour party family was touched with the death of the centenarian, who he added, was very gentle, kind and accommodating. The labour party boss noted that he was convinced beyond reasonable doubt on some occasions he visited the late Hajia Zulukarinani Gambari that she was a virtuous woman worthy of emulation.
He also condoled the Emirate Council and the entire people of Ilorin emirate over the death of the Emir’s mother, describing the incident as sad and painful. Onagun prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased of her misdeeds while on the planet earth and admit her into Al-Janat Fridaus.
Hajia Zulukarinani Gambari died in Ilorin on Monday evening at the age of 124 and was buried according to Islamic injunctions yesterday.
