The Officer in charge of Mandallah maximum Prison in Asa Local Government area of the Kwara state, Alhaji Abayom Gbadamasi has described health problem as one of the major challenges facing the two hundred and ten inmates at the Prison, stating that only one medical doctor normally visit them.
The officer who disclosed this when he received free medical materials donated by the Nigeria Medical Association on behalf of the state Comptroller of Prison solicited the assistance of the Members of the Association in the provision of quality Health for the inmates.
The donation of the items was part of the activities commemorating the 2016 Physician week of the Association which is being celebrated in all the states of the Federation.
The medical materials were presented to the Officer in charge of the Prison by the Deputy Chairman of NMA in Kwara, Doctor Habeeb Omokanye on behalf of the Chairman, Dr Kunle Olawepo.
