As the kwara state government sets to complete the establishment of Asphalt plant in Ilorin, the residents of the state have been assured of dividend of democracy through roads construction, pot holes rehabilitation and infrastructural development.
Speaking with our correspondent, the state commissioner for works and transport, Jamiudeen Aro Yahaya admitted that the phase of roads maintenance in the state was slowed down due to paucity of fund and heavy downpour.
While explaining that the Kwara State Roads Maintenance Agency (KWARMA) is currently working on some roads which includes tsaragi-shonga road, Apodo along old Ilorin-Jebba road, and the just completed shao to malete road among others.
Speaking on pot holes in the state, the commissioner for works who said the ministry has all the record of all damage portions of roads which includes Igbaja township road, omu-aran township road, Ita-Amon to Ogundele, Opo-maluu to Ipata, Asada road.
Other includes Offa garage road to Dangote, oko-erin to asadam, new Yidi road and challenge to University among others.
