Kwara Assembly Constitutes Ad-Hoc Committee to probe all illegal acquisition of government properties

The Kwara State House of Assembly has constituted a five-man Ad-Hoc Committee to probe all acquisitions of government properties by individuals in the state.

The setting up of the special committee was sequel to Matter of General Public Importance on the sudden change in the name of state government owned Tourist Kitchen to Bubble 007, raised by the House Leader and member representing Ilorin Central Constituency, Hon. Abubakar Olawoyin Mogaji at the floor of the House.

The Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danladi, who presided over today’s sitting, charged the Ad-Hoc Committee to carry out the assignment diligently. He assured that the House will not allow the commonwealth of the public to be taken over by individuals as necessary steps will be taken to salvage the state from the verge of socio-economic backwardness.

The Speaker equally assured the people of the state that the outcome of the investigation will be implemented to the letter by the executive arm of government.

He also referred the investigation on the ownership of Tourist Kitchen to the House Committee on Youth ,Sports, Information, Culture and Tourism with the report expected next week Thursday.
