Concerned stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Kwara state have frowned at the action of a former Governorship aspirant in the party, Professor Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem, on arrival from Abuja after their peace accord, calling it a total disrespect to the party and President Muhammadu Buhari.
The party stakeholders also noted that Professor Oba’s engagement with the press was not in the spirit of the Abuja accord and does not represent the resolutions of aspirants with President Buhari, the party National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and state leader, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
At a press conference held in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital and attended by party stakeholders from all local government areas, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Inuwa, while addressing the press said it is unfortunate that anyone will still toe such an ugly path despite being given every opportunity to address their grievances.
While also accusing supporters of the former Vice-Chancellor of destroying the posters and billboards of Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, the APC Governorship candidate in Kwara, the party chieftains called for disciplinary actions against such acts. Cue in audio……..Inuwa
Ambassador Yahaya Seriki, who also vied for the Governorship ticket expressed dismay at the development and urged party faithfuls to remain focus as according to him, they have resolved to ensure Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq’s victory come 2019. Cue in audio……..Seriki
