Jolayemi emerges ANN chairman at state Congress, aims at Kwara Govt house

Pastor Michael Jolayemi today emerged the Kwara state chairman, Alliance for New Nigeria, ANN, with an assurance that the party is determined to effect a transformation that has been lacking in the state.

At the party’s state Congress held at Favours Event Centre, Ilorin, the Kwara state capital on Saturday, the newly elected chairman said the ANN executive hopes to lead the party vigorously towards victory.
He also hinted at a possible coalition with some other political parties of like minds towards taking over power.
Jolayemi, however, stated that the ANN in case of any coalition, will only go into such, negotiating from the stronger side.
While decrying the gale of defection in the Nigeria polity, the party chairman said the back and forth movement from the two major political parties namely the All Progressive Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, indicates that they are only in politics for selfish interest.
He also said that the APC is only paying the price of its earlier demeanor with regards to the absorption of all calibre of political figures, prior to the 2015 General elections.
