The Registrar of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede has appealed to the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU to reach agreement for the return of academic activities in public universities.
Professor Oloyede speaking during the conduct of mop-up examination for candidates with various problems while participating in the 2022 JAMB examination disclosed that irrational decisions need to be taken to prevent recurrence in the future.
Speaking on the conduct of the mop-up examination, professor Oloyede commended the students for their attitude displayed during the examination procedure but decried the intervention of parents.
In his remarks, the spokesperson of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin stated that the examination board has three categories of students that are qualified for the examination.
He, however, disclosed the efforts taken by the board to tackle examination malpractices.
The JAMB mop-up examination was conducted in about five states across the nation with over seventy-two candidates partaking in the examination, with the examination of those involved in examination malpractices.
