Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, has stated that the belief thatObafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, has stated that the belief that Nigeria’s problem is a lack of leadership is not entirely right.
The problem, according to Hamzat, is that the family has broken apart and there is a lack of personal accountability in the country. This was said by the deputy governor over the weekend at the commissioning of the Ultra-Modern Quranic Central Mosque and the turbaning of Admiral Jubrila Ayinla and his wife, Alhaja Jemilah Ayinla, as the New Baba Adinni and Amira Tul-Mehmeen of the Quranic Muslim Community, respectively.
“A lot of people believe that Nigeria’s problem is leadership,” he remarked. Well, I’d like to point out that it is not entirely correct in my opinion. The issue is that the family has disintegrated, and there is a general lack of personal responsibility throughout the country. Many people have neglected their obligations, which is having a bad impact on society and the country as a whole.”
As a result, he urged all residents, regardless of religion, to value personal responsibility and to carry out their responsibilities effectively and efficiently, emphasizing that leadership begins at home, which is the foundation of any modern society.
