The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Friday paid a working visit to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire in her office.
Sustainable Development Goals is United Nations universal call to action that is charged with the responsibility of redistributing wealth, create jobs, provide affordable healthcare and efficient and effective education for all among the comity of nations.
The Governor was in her office to seek collaboration and partnership for economic growth and development as envisioned in the SDGs target goals.
Every January 24 is marked as International Day of Education, the SDGs fourth goal is quality education for all. Governor AbdulRazaq who is committed to providing quality education for all children of school age, noted that Kwara would leverage on the partnership to ensure the number of out of school children in Kwara is largely reduced.
AbdulRazaq said quality education is the bedrock of every successful economy, stressing that his government will explore all options in an effort to ensure quality and affordable education is achieved in Kwara state.
While delivering her goodwill message, the Senior Special Assistant assured the Governor of a cordial relationship that will improve teaching and learning, especially in providing a conducive learning environment which will enhance productivity.
