Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has revealed that Nigerians who are currently registering in the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will now get their permanent voters card (PVCs) in October 2022 instead of January 2023.
It is recalled that the electoral commission had earlier said new PVC registrants will get their card in January 2023, a month before the general elections.
Speaking during a Youth Vote Must Count concert organized in Abuja, INEC chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu assured new registrants that they will get their PVCs in October 2022.
Yakubu added that INEC registered over 14,000 Nigerians during the mega concert in Abuja, noting that the registration exercise will continue.
