Some residents of Ilorin, Kwara capital, have expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of portable water in the state and urged the state government to provide pipe borne water across the state.
The residents, who spoke with news men in Ilorin today, lamented the hardship they go through to get water to use in their homes. An Interim Joint Matriculation Board student who lives on Pipeline Road, Peace Eke, said it has become a tedious task getting water for daily use in the state capital.
Another resident who spoke with news men, Mr Akin Olugbenga said that any home that wants to have water supply must have a well, but noted that such wells normally dry up during the dry season.
A resident of kilanko, Maimunah Mustapha, appealed to the incoming administration to favor the citizens and make life easy for them especially in the areas of education, water supply and electricity supply.
