I married my soulmate – Annie Idibia

Popular Nigerian actress, Annie Idibia, has taken to her verified Instagram page to send a loving message to her husband and legendary Nigerian singer, 2baba, as they celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary.

In her message, the actress announced to the world that she got married to her first love. She further stated that while she still does not know how it happened, she is glad that she is married to her soul mate whom she refers to as ‘a guy’.

The actress shared a picture from their wedding day as she wrote, “Yes!!! I married my first crush! Yes!!! I married my first love. Yes!! I married the baby daddy to my first child ‘my sunshine’ I always knew it was you. How it would happen or work out? That I was clueless about. A puzzle I never ever wanted to solve! But I knew it had to be you. It just had to be you… or else the chemistry… and of course my heart won’t feel the way it always did! I truly and honestly believe everyone has his/her soul mate!!! Ain’t no doubt that we are soul mates.

“I gave you all of me, knowing that in you and you only, has this imperfect girl found perfection!!! (mbok figure the meaning out yasef o) Either in this lifetime or another, it would have been and it has always been YOU. Happy ANNIEversary ‘a guy’ @official2baba #LYTID. 23rd March 2013.”

So far her friends and family have thronged her comment section to congratulate her on her wedding anniversary.

Recounting the days Annie and 2baba were dating, actress turned singer, Angela Okorie shared a story of how she accompanied Annie to visit her then-boyfriend by 2 am.

The actress wrote in the comment section, “Awww @annieidibia1 you remember that night u told me I won go see my guy, Anni make me enter road by 2 am to see @official2baba.I sha made sure my friend got there safe b4 leaving for my house, to cut the long story short their love no be today, wishing you 2 long life and may God continue to keep your home @annieidibia1 @official2baba happy anniversary to you both, your love life is worth emulating.” (sic)

Another actress, Empress Njamah, also went down memory lane. She wrote, “I so can’t forget back then, good old days when this love started, no be small thing that time ohh, we had undiluted fun, story long, am so glad to be part of this journey and still family..HWA , many more blessed years to come….AMEN,” (sic).
