Happening Live: Yahaya Bello may be sworn in without deputy

Alhaji Yahaya Bello may be sworn in any moment from now without a deputy. Bello who arrived the inauguration venue at Lokoja New stadium at exactly 11.00am in company of Senator Dino Melaye who was the inauguration Chairman, walked into a cheering mammoth crowd.Kogi Inaguration

The issue of Deputy Governor has not been concluded up to this morning.

There was an attempt to appoint Mr. Simon Achuba , a politician from Ibaji Local Government Area in Kogi East Senatorial district. It is gathered that agreement was not reached in this regard.

The latest option is due to Faleke’s insistence that he would not deputize Bello, a situation that incurred the wrath of Igala who razed down the politician’s family building at Ibaji.

According to sources, Igala people have vowed that whoever agrees to deputize Yahaya Bello would be declared ‘persona non grata.’

However, the law provides a. maximum of 21 days for Faleke to turn up or permanently loses the sit.

Dignitaries already at the event include: Nasarawa State governor, Alhaji Tanko Al-Makura, APC National Chairman, Chief Odigie Oyegun, Minister of State for Labour, Barrister James Ocholi among others.
